   can someone explain why men hate this so bad? in all mens rights circles and anti-feminism talks/accounts i frequent due to me expanding my knowledge and beliefs beyond my own, i always see the buzzword of hypergamy and how women practice it and its unfair and product of radical feminism etc. etc. Why are women ridiculed for playing the cards they're dealt with to their advantage? in our society men worship womens looks appearance and sexuality than vice versa, and smart women use this to gain socail capital and access beyond their scope. am i supposed to bash a woman who climbs the social ladder in any way she can, the same way men do with hoarding wealth and placing themselves at the top. hypergamy is a result of the patriarchy, so if theres anything to be mad at, its not women who date up the social ladder and ignore men of the same social class/ladder, but blame the people responsible for its existence ; modern men. social ladders did not matter much always, its a modern creation fueled by capitalism and all theses systems are pro-men first and foremost.

not a hatred its the fact that depending on witch part of the social latter ur apart of u expect and behave in a curtain manner that is unique to that social class ex lets say u hook up with a guy u like but he happens to be low on money u think such a guy can take u out on 5 start diner no so instead u will stick to somebody at ur level in regards to class why because thats what ur used to.

It's not hatred so much as an acknowledgement that it is immoral.


If you want to play that game, society will judge you for it. By the way, the same is true for the guy with the bombshell gold-digging wife. He gets no respect for leveraging his wallet to get a woman who would otherwise never be caught dead with him.


The type of women you are talking about aren't looking for a true, loving relationship. They are looking for a transactional relationship. It's not just "men" who frown upon this, but most normal people in society.

You sound either extremely bitter or have very little life experience to understand or truly appreciate the dynamics and depth of a successful relationship. Based on your previous posts, I am heavily leaning towards the latter.

Cinderella stories almost never happen in the real world. The type of hypergamous relationship you are taking about, where a woman in abject poverty marries into old money, there is almost always a ruthless and calculated trade going on. That is, and never will be, the basis of a long-lasting and successful relationship. And when children are involved, it will almost certainly leave the children with a host of issues growing up.


There's a reason most people don't opt for these transactional relationships and this is borne out by the statistics. The overwhelming majority of people marry someone of their own socioeconomic background.

do we really need such a ridiculous word? hypergamy? we're discussing the most intimate relationship between two humans and we use a term that sounds like it belongs in a class on the biology of frogs. it sounds like it belongs in a biology textbook.

I think the word is ridiculous. the entire issue of "hypergamy" is very possibly just a giant smokescreen to conceal an agenda to show off one's vocabulary.

women marry guys with money? is that a brand new discovery? do we need to use four-syllable words and long talks to discuss that fire is hot?
