Can fixed party system end Somalia's clan politics

Interested

Quite the Islamist.
If we are to follow this 'rule of the people'; we are better of copying the best of the west..In that we have three or four fixed parties; something in the line of for instance ;

1.Islamists ( Sharia, shura etc)
2. Central
3 let's say secularist( freedom of religion etc)
Etc
Candidates would publicly register themselves, run against each other in primaries & their flip floping restricted.

Only parties that reach certain threshold (let's say 6% of votes )would be allowed to be represented in the parliament

Every party adapts and advocates for a chosen ideology (capitalism, socialism etc).

I feel like this is something that could potentially transcend clan lines. Would push many to abandon clan politics or following ina adeers blindly & vote for their preferred political alignment.

Fixed parties is not a true representation of democracy there are thresholds that parties must pass for example getting a certain number of signatures before they can become a party.

Every party should be ideological but how can we stop it from becoming clanist without a judiciary that will put a stop to it.

It won't be so simple, these are rather some of the ways we can de-qabilify our politics.

Someone like Sh Shariif won't end up in the same party as someone like Abdirahman Abdishakur or even former president Hassan Sheikh

an easier and maybe better way would be that parties must have a certain number of members (signatories) or MPs from each region. I.e the party Himilo Qaran Party must have 50k members from each electorate district before they can be recognised officially as a party, the second condition would be that they must compete in at least 2/3 of the electorates when running in the election as a party. unfortunately the first 1 or 2 election cycles id expect for people to vote preferentially on their qabil but after I think after having experienced elections and having been more educated in the process, electors will vote on their self-intrest.

Co-Federalism and one man one vote is the way to go, a multi-party system free for every and each Somali is all we need, it doesn't matter if the political parties are based on tribe, degaan, religion and sharing same interest.

I am planning to open the first Somali Atheist political group in the nation ,we need a complete overhual of what we have, the indirect elections and the 4.5 as well.

America arguably has a fixed number of parties since only two parties are relevant. Somalia should allow as many parties to exist as long as they each have at least 1000 members in EVERY region
The point went over your head.

Dhaqan Celis should imagine saying half of these end clan politics theories with race politics instead and they will feel how silly it sounds.
