Athan is understandable. Who wants to hear long prayers of taraweeh and leilatul qadr besides the people in the mosque especially when the reciters don't even have a good voice. They finish taraweeh and come back at 2 to 6 to pray again. Its annoying as f*ck. Do the athan and call people to prayer. Use the inside speakers to who ever shows up. Problem solved.

This reminds me of when our local masjid tried to do the whole neighborhood intercom athan thing. I don’t know why they thought that would fly. The surrounding neighbors shut it down so quick.
