Now that I think of it, I maybe putting too much significance into Somaliland's weight in the global scale.

If it has any weight on the global scale why hasn’t it made any tangible progress at all? Why doesn’t its closest neighbor and Somali government Djibouti recognize it? These trips are just to settle down the kids back home.
