Now watch in 2-3 months that another report will come out of another parliament or the same one discussing Somaliland recognition. It's a shame our @Admin is allowing a topic already settled to be discussed on here.

No recognition for somaliland is possible from outside Somalia, this is settled internationally, why are we allowing the posting of news about 'SL recognition'.

Please ensure these topics are immediately removed or else this section will turn into propaganda like somnet has become. We are grown adults, we don't need to be hearing of SL recognition nonsense, let them keep circulating they're fairy tale among themselves.

@Periplus when I promote a Hybrid system for Somalia or when other Puntites suggest a Confederation model, u don't see us working outside Somalia and going to other parliaments to recognize our new model, we are working within Somalia and with it's stakeholders and following due process.

U can't compare us to these loons oo dhowr jeer loo sheegay if they want recognition go get it from Somalia and to stop coming to other countries and creating publicity stunts for your low iq ppl in hargeisa.

Lifting the arms embargo is beyond our desires or what we 'want'. We need to 'demonstrate' to the UN security council that Somalia is politically stable and set up a evidence based model, that these weapons won't be used for clan matters.

As everyone can observe in Somalia politics and it's clan problems, those conditions are not present on the ground for any discussion on the arms embargo. What are we going to do? be like @TekNiKo and start 'begging the UN' well that's no different to SL recognition strategy. Puntites are above such nonsense.

Separatism is well established process, the nation and the separatist area need to negiotate, before taking it to the international community or else like you said no nation borders are safe in the world.

Totally agreed, @Admin we need a moratorium on these Somaliland topics. Have a poll and ask your users, vast majority are sick of being flooded by these repetitive topics. The relative importance of SL to Somalia related issues is totally disproportionate to the number of threads about SL. And lastly if you really care about Somalia you would totally ban any thread advocating for splitting the country up. Other country forums like Kenyatalk, nairaland have such policies.
