BREAKING:

Sanae Takaichi just won the internal vote in Japan’s ruling party to become its next candidate for PM of Japan.

The anti-migration politician is a member of Japan’s largest nationalist organisation Nippon Kaigi and is known as a hard-line conservative.

Takaichi opposes same-sex marriage and supports a requirement for couples to share a surname after marriage.

She has also stated that a government gender equality plan could "destroy the social structure based on family units" has voiced opposition to proposals to change the law so that a woman could become the Emperor of Japan.

Takaichi supports imprisoning those who damage Japan's national flag.

In regard to the economy, she would continue Abenomics economic policies.

She’s considered a China-hawk when it comes to foreign policy and supports revising article 9 of the Japanese constitution which prohibits Japan from entering armed conflict.

She’s also a vocal critic of Chinese economic practices such as intellectual property theft and calls on Japan to lessen its economic dependence on China.

She believes that immigration to Japan risks destabilizing Japanese society and argues that Japanese heritage must be protected.

Immigration into Japan is virtually non existent. Not nearly as prominent as it is in the west. Japan failed because it was forced to replace Japanese culture with judeowestern culture. Post ww2 Japan's entire nation and population relied on western imports and money. Basically a colonial slave state. With the west becoming more anti war, Japan will probably soon face china alone and will probably get decimated in the process if the US abandons its interventionist approach.

Either way Japan is cooked. The only good thing to come out of Japan is one piece.

It’s actually going to backfire on them in the long run. The younger generation (Gen Z) is hurting economically and they’re misplacing the blame on immigrants, when in reality it’s the government’s own economic policies that have caused stagnant wages and poor job opportunities.

But here’s the bigger problem: even if they completely shut out immigrants, they’re still facing a massive worker shortage. Their population is aging rapidly, birth rates are low, and fewer young people are entering the workforce. That creates a vicious feedback loop , fewer workers, less tax revenue, less ability to fund pensions for the elderly and it will just create a tight squeeze on them.

Japan is the clearest example of this problem (links below). Without new workers , either by boosting birth rates or allowing immigration , they’re setting themselves up for an economic collapse.
