One week when I was 9 my parents left me at my uncles crib to take a crip to Minnesota. During that weekend my uncle didn’t want me and my brother staying home all day so he took us to a duqsi.

When I walked into the neighborhood I just seen a lot of bantu people. At that time I considered them Kenyan or Nigerian tbh. As I walked into the duqsi I just seen only 2 other Somali kids. The rest were bantu.
What had me so shocked was when all the kids and the Macalin started speaking somali. Wallahi I was like

That was the day I learned what somali Bantus were.
I can’t recall running into them after that.
It seems they all stick together in that same area.
Heck I probably did but didn’t know they were Somali Bantu.
