He is by far the most reliable commentator on Ethiopian politics, international news forgets about Ethiopia fully and as such the narrative is created by state or rebel ran news (more aptly: propaganda) outlets. He is probably the only reporter in Ethiopia that tells the truth- and when he has a lack of information he flat out says so and doesn’t immediately start making theories like other journalists.

He is a very reputable source in the region, held is high standard in Xabash.

This is his job? He reports the news and get's paid by ads+donations. He lives in Addis Ababa so the costs are not that insane, its not unreasonable to think his sizable YT channel could not cover living expenses in Addis.

And also I did not mention it but he lived in Ethiopia before he started his current career.
