Breaking news: Covid-19 aid meant for Caabudwaaq stolen in Dhusomareb

The corona virus has hit Caabudwaaq the hardest as its a major hub for transit and trade in central Somalia/eastern DDS, already many people have died due to the virus, as a result the federal government donated 8 oxygen ventilators and other Covid-19 aid to Caabudwaaq, mainly thanks to Caabudwaaq representative Senator Goonjeex, who was pressured by the locals to take this up with the FGS and the health ministrry, this emergency aid was intercepted in Dhusomareb where 3 ventilators were stolen among other things.

News will start to report on this soon, the Caabudwaaq district administration hasn't opposed Galmudug once since election of Qoorqoor, but they aren't happy about this development, will keep you posted what happens next.

Much of the dhaqaale in Galmudug is centered in the big towns in the state and all developments will go to only productive towns that contribute to galmudug economy. There's a $100 million EU development program that will be invested in the 6 most productive districts in Galmudug after the COVID-19 lockdown to bolster the local economies.

Cabudwaaq is one of the 6 districts and the list includes Galkacyo, Hobyo, Cadado, Dhusamareb and Guriceel so don't worry about not getting a share of the pie as long as your district is productive and contributing to Galmudug.

In Garowe alone it was going to rehabilitate 19 roads and construct 2 bridges. Baidoa, Kismayo and Mogadishu also missed out. So I doubt there's a 100 million fund for Galmudug.

Galmudug might not have the World Bank program requirements for local infrastructure back then when it was facing political instability but now it does meet all requirements since the political instability has been resolved.

It already met the requirements for the EU program for local economies and will ripe its benefits after the lockdown.
