They do (and they do it alot), but you have to consider that this is what the Amhara region looks like... not as effective.

PP did not kill a chief-administrator of the Amhara region but they did purge the region's government of anti-PP factions after an alleged coup attempt in 2019.

You may be misremembering the assassination of the leader of PP in Amhara two years ago.
