A lot of the middle-aged citizens in the UK dislike Corbyn. He is a good politician, but they are very tabloid-obsessed, and those tabloids went on campaigns to destroy his reputation since he holds economic views that are less elite-friendly. The unaware general public are a sensitive bunch; if he said he does not like tea and biscuits, they would act shocked.

Thing is now labour is planning to lower voting age to 16 to curb the interests of the middle aged people. People seem to forget the the middle age is now consisting of younger millennials and the older gen z is on the curb of becoming middle aged. There whole goal has always been the creation of a united Europe that can compete with America issue is the whole continents economy is stagnant the US 2X as big now and lacks any major tech companies while at the same time has a shrinking workforce and rapidly ageing population

I think this is Putins real goal in Ukraine he knows if he keeps withholding oil from Europe and the continent keep being flooded with migrants they’ll be in a never ending recession and state of anxiety once that happens AFD will win in Germany 2029 and they’ll leave the EU after that the whole block will dissolve as they can’t survive whithout Germany

I'm not fooled by anyone, and neither do I listen to opinions in the UK about anything. You have to distinguish actual voting patterns from informal popularity. The UK is defined by several things; first, it is the conservatives, the people on the Left, centrists, and people who flip-flop. The centrists and the right wing -- these are usually bigger than the true left. Then you have the deciding factor. The whimsical guys who claim they vote pragmatically, but these are the guys who are heavy into the British cultural zone that betrayed him and would do the same if the elites once again ran campaigns on the tabloids, freaking out that he dissed tea and cookies.

Now you have a point that these 16-17-year-olds will spike the numbers higher for the left, but not by an extreme amount. You're underestimating how the 16-17 cohort is less centrist, more on the left, but also more on the populist right. So overall, I am unsure if Corbyn would ever win, and if he did, it would be by a minor margin if he had an election today. His potential is large, but he is institutionally and culturally suppressed on many fronts that can easily be instrumentalized against him. It's not impossible, but it is not inevitable.

People who actually would vote for Corbyn don't even vote. Voting has a skew in the political center-right for some reason.

Personally, I think it would be good for Corbyn to win.

Also, there is another problem. As labour has become more liberal than leftist, it is going to become a key in underminig him similar to what they did with Bernie with the Democrats.

By the way, this is not to burst your optimism. Hold on to that. It's healthy to be hopeful for a 16-17-year-old, and I don't mean that in the condenscending way. Part of the reason why entrenched political systems maintain relevance on power is because they kill the spirits of kids by thousand small cuts. But I also don't want you to become apathetic/dispirited if things goes wrong.
