The only reason this is even a death penalty case is because Charlie Kirk is a well known influencer. If he had killed some random person a nobody no one would be talking about the death penalty right now. Honestly he should just be getting regular jail time, nothing more. He’s not even a politician the whole thing is being blown up because he’s tight with Trump
Edit: my bad, I didn’t realize Utah actually has the death penalty but apparently it’s not something they enforce regularly this case might be the kind of thing that pushes them to actually use it

What honour is there in murdering someone to incite MORE political violence in this country. His parents did the right thing, if my child was a murderer and deprived someone of their life I turn them in immediantly.

If you killed a random person it would cause half of the population to go up in arms nor would it trigger such a backlash and become such a topic of heated debate.
They will make an example of him just like they will do of the Luigi kid. You can't allow these types to walk free, you have to nip them in the bud.
