Kenyan politics is 100% tribal, basically tribes have political parties representing their tribes and not ideology.
There are two main alliances that have formed composed of tribes merging their parties.

1. JUBILEE ALLIANCE.
Composed of the largest tribe, kikuyu led by Uhuru who have dominated Kenya politically, economically since independence. The third largest tribe, Kalenjin which is the Deputy presidents tribe. Votes from these two is what made it take power and most likely return. They also support from other small tribes. When it comes to Somalis, they got almost half of garissa voters, wajir can also go either way but Mandera is 100% in the jubilee block. In Nairobi, Somalis mainly in Eastleigh are almost completely in Jubilee.

2. NASA Alliance.

Composed of tribal alliance that have never held the top leadership.
Its mainly composed of the second, fourth and fifth largest tribes and the swahili Muslims at the Kenyan coast. Its led by Raila Odinga who believes he was rigged of his two past presidential candidacy.
NASA is claiming now to have registered 10 million voters which will be enough to defeat jubilee. Farah maalim is a major party leader in this alliance. They plan to completely withdraw KDF from Somalia and don't plan to involve themselves past the Kenyan border.

*This is what future Somali politics will look like when democracy and elections are introduced in Somalia in my opinion. I could be wrong though.

- btw who do I think will win? Jubilee obviously, the Kikuyu democratic dictatorship continues

Karim

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

I think the Future Politics of Somalia will look like this if we hold National Elections With Millions of Voters, and That will definitely lead to a Major problems if not a civil war. Let the People vote for Their regional presidents like Puntland, Jubaland, Hirshabeele etc. but the Somali Parliament should always elect the President. It's safe that way.

For some reason, I always disliked farah macalin. He sounds and looks very corrupted. He's a crowd pleaser.

Aren't you from NFD? I have a question.

How hated are Somalis in Kenya? How does the government treat the Somalis compared to other ethnic groups?Would you ever like to see the NFD break away and maybe join Somalia?

Somalis are currently in good terms with the ruling jubilee alliance. I'm currently in garissa btw and its good.
I don't know about NFD but I personally would like to be part of greater Somalia under a strong Somali government.
