I have this friend who is super funny, generous, intelligent and just a really dope person MashAllah BUT whenever we go out in public, her entire demeanor changes. Especially when guys are around, she goes from chilled to this whole new person lol. Say for example a guy will come and say hello, she will look at him with this disgusted expression on her face and be totally rude and dismissive. Everyone will be joking and engaging in conversation and she will just be sitting there with her legs crossed, drinking her drink and talking to no one (and it isn’t because she is shy)

I can’t judge his personality but physically in most cases the guy will even be a lot better looking than her and I just don’t get why she does it

Even if she isn’t interested in him, like chill just talk to him like a human being, I personally think it’s a very unattractive thing to do but I just don’t get why she does it

I think there are men like this too, no?

I think it’s more appropriate to act like this when you are 16/17 and a lot of girls go through this ‘kibirley’ ‘Sanka taag’ phase (I did lol) where you move like you’re Hilary Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air but as you get older, you grow up and you release that it’s okay and better to be polite and pleasant

Her guard is down when shes with her friends cause she knows and trusts you guys and can be herself but if a guy is around her bubbly fun side shuts down and goes into defense mode

How old is she? has she been with a guy before? Maybe she is just scared and this is her defence. She can still be confident and funny when around girls, but guys scare her

lol sometimes when I think back to my younger days, I cringe at my self, the level of sanka taag, omg so unattractive:icon redface:
