Both ahmara and Oromo are clamining Dire Dawa as theirs.

You know what funny, If you ask most Somalis in oromia who they dislike, it’s not gonna be the ethio government at the top of the list, but instead they will name other somali qabils first, qabil is the downfall of my people wlhi
I'mma see you when the Oromos chimp out and displace 30000 shiekhaal people

People on this site don't like me because I don't sugarcoat the truth. I am very plain spoken and I tell it like it is. I am not defeatist because I have nothing to lose or gain with K5s current situation. My ancestors just happen to be from there. That's it. I have no emotional connection. I am just reporting the facts. Somalis in K5 and in NFD have been conquered. Why are people allergic to the truth? Why must I soften the language used to make people feel better? I hope the situation changes but the reality should be accepted. This "we are an independent region" is nonsense. The Xabash/Oromo handpick whoever "governs" Somali Region and they do it so brilliantly. They do so understanding clan and sub clan and sub sub sub clan dynamics. They divide and conquer the Somalis. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Walalo I have no hate i understand were coming from. Btw understand I have nothing to do with NFD also but those are somali region lands let be clear with it. In today socity there is no such thing as unifaction but there can unity between us somalis at least. Also I want to point out how you said that "The Xabash/Oromo handpick whoever "governs" Somali Region and they do it so brilliantly. They do so understanding clan and sub clan and sub sub sub clan dynamics. They divide and conquer the Somalis." why can;'t you just say somalis have been divided by outsiders (enemy) of somalis who want to conquer somalia understand that please. Also thanks for responding I also noticed your a staff memeber in part of this staff which cool.

They think if there is more ahmara or Oromo ethics on Somali city = they own it
I think he means it was founded by Amharas which is atleast partly true. The modern day city of Dire dawa was established by Menelik as “Addis harar” due to harar itself not being on the Addis-Djibouti railway. Obviously the region was never Amhara and the local inhabitants of the land the town sits on were Gurgure Somalis. According to locals, the second clan to move into dire dawa were the Noole oromos and third to them Ciise Somalis. Today these 3 clans are the only ones that have any pull in the city, amharas, other oromos etc have no say in dire dawa.

Political representation in the city is divided 40-40-20. Somalis take 40%, Oromos take 40% and all other Ethiopians (Amhara, Gurage, Adere etc) get 20%. This idea that we’re “loosing dire dawa” is fear mongering the city has always been shared. Oromos and Somalis are fairly equal population wise with Oromos maybe slightly outpopulating us. The main problem Somalis in Dire face is cultural assimilation by both Oromos and Abyssinians, by allowing them to bring their dhaqan and deen into the city and speaking their languages. This in turn forces the local somalis to subscribe to the habesha “Itiopyawinet”, Dire dawa is by far the most culturally Ethiopian place in Somaliweyn
