Yes we love Bosaso. It's the 'mother of puntland' and all that. But we need to provide suggestions on how to improve the business capital of PL.

This is how it looks right. Skyline shot

What things you suggest we add to it?

@TheMadMullah come in and abuse all you want. The aim is we want to make it the second capital of Somalia. So we need your suggestion. We need to throw hargeisa out of that spot.

What you suggest we improve on? I found the street shops(bibitoyin) made of tin need to go, the open street market where small time traders sell need to be relocated also to some sort of indoor facility. They did it for the fishermen, if they don't have a proper 'bakaar' or shop-front, we need to create outdoor market facility similar to the one we did for the fisherman. These are for the small-local traders

We as all Puntlanders need to take interest in Bosaso, it's basically our Mogadishu, it is the future of Puntland. Oh where is that @SomaliWadaniSoldier Bosaso is so dangerous isn't it? yeh it is dangerous, the construction materials all over the place

I will only suggest 2 things

- Corrupt Gaas has to go and his point man in bosaaso who sends him a cut of the taxes collected in bosaaso

- the corrupt psf has to be disbanded for security to be normal in bosaaso

shoud build a new town south of bosaso less congested this time

Each clan is building their own town and specific area, but it's more a getaway plus they want to create districts so they get representation in PL parliament. But Bosaso is the capital of all Puntland in reality not garowe which is just an administrative or political town. There isn't much politics happening in Bosaso, it's strictly business. PL has planned it's future.

Bosaso pure business orientated and not much politics. Qardho tradition and culture town. Garowe is where the politics is and where @TheMadMullah would be better suited to be, we talking about bosaso waryaa, puntland politics isn't in this town. Galkayo is the border town. Bayla and EYL are trying to turn into the fishing sector of PL. Garacad second port town for central regions and ddsi. Galdogob a border town where it taxes anyone entering PL.

The plans are already there in PL, the question is how quick it can be done. These niggas in somalia think PL has no plans and is just basically sitting arond twindling it's thumbs. We got plans boys, we just need the right leader and the right political stability from mogadish to occur. Nothing else can stop the great puntites.

Yeah town-planning. But town plans are useless without well defined roads. It's how you define your roads that determine your town plan. But your right we need dedicated areas for specific functions of the city. Like dedicated area for the market and we call it the market zone. Factories and Warehouses will only come when we actually start using our resources in PL like coastal towns in bayla-eyl-garacad-las qoray and so forth.

We will have great processing plants open in Bosaso for the huge amount of production. Bosaso needs to be the town where all the processing and larg scale manfacturing will happen. This depends on investors who will come and head into the country side and collect all the rocks and have a plant in bosaso that processes it into different products like asphalt, building materials, bricks, etc. A plant for fishery to be packaged and sent to our clients in somalia and overseas. U see the pattern, Bosaso will be the home for all that in the future.

@BenInHer What do you say we create a statue of boqor osman in qardho, the ogaden boys did it for sayidka in jigjiga. This will send a signal to all Somalis and foreigners entering PL this is the historical sultanate of majerteniya. Boqor Osman is so neglected in PL, it's crazy.

Maybe we can place the statues in Garowe since it's the capital now. Boqor Osman statue at a round-about, a Darwish statue of Soldiers to honor the dhulbahante history. Plus one for Sultan of Warsangeli. Our enemies need to know this home to most powerful clans in Somalia.

Statue created for worship is Haram. Kabah is a statue. A house is statue. Everything is a statue in reality if it's a building. Statues are not haram, we got plenty of them inside our homes every-day.

Lets talk development of Bosaso, I want us to share our ideas. Forget large scale(100 people plus) type employment untill we get roads to our coastal towns. We need investors who go out there, and do mass-fishing, hire locals by the hundreds in each coastal area to go out into the sea. Once the fish is brought back, refrigerate it and truck it to qardho and have an airport there that cargo ships it to bosaso so it can be processed, and packaged.

Investors then move into calmadow when the road is finished and start measuring out land plots and production of agriculture. It's so big calmadow, the soil is perfect, and it's fertile. It just needs water wells, equipments, and that's it. Once we are maxing our fishery, agriculture, and livestock sectors to full potential. We need to bring in oil companies and create thousands of jobs locally thru that. Then mineral companies next. We need to create hard currency first.

Then we can move to creating professional jobs for university students becauses by then the economy will be powering on and we will need professionals especially lawyers for legal matters, accountants, we will need technological guys because computers will be used. Professional trade will be a knock on effect after the the techical sector is booming.

Its best if the city is organised and taxes collected from the large scale businesses . After that you can build schools and hospitals or start new city projects outside bosaso like cairo did. Plus, dont sell your city away to chinese and foreign who’ll only come to rape the city. Its best if you also use the collected tax to help businesses start in small towns

I heard theres a seasonal river so use it for your own good by building dams which will hold back the river instead of wasting a valuable resource.

Sol

?
Paving and sidewalks really need to be implemented seeing dust and sand everywhere makes a city look horrible and also greenifying the city should be a priority. Bosaso is also in a good spot in the country where both solar irradiance and wind speeds are relatively high making both solar/wind energy penetration relatively simply with the the implementation of both onshore/offshore wind (although offshore is a lot more expensive as it requires cabling, offshore substations, groundwork etc hence onshore would be the cheaper path as of now) and solar stations using concentrated photovoltaics.

Make roads to the coastal cities like qandala and beyond is a priority sit here is a flow of trade and traffic coming from the east and not just the south
