If this massacre really occured they wouldn't be somalilanders for 30 years and riyaale wouldn't be president for 8 years that doesn't make sense to come with that story 30 years later. I mean where is the proof that muuse biixi was the leader in a campaign against awdal civilians ? There was a casefire between to rebel groups and one of two won the battle. The rest is propaganda in a time where ina biixi is the president. Tbh i can't talk for snm in the west somaliland (cause i am reer bari) but the whole story doesn't make sense.

Mostly they used weapons captured from the SNA. Ethiopians didn’t give them shit in fact the SNM had to leave their bases in Jigjiga and Aware and relocate inside Somalia after the Djabuti accord between Siyaad Barre and Mengistu
The idea that Ethiopians armed SNM is a lie. The SSDF were much more so armed and even had Ethiopian units fighting along side it case in point the Balanbale battle
I agree with you saaxiib 100%, the pc method that the SNM took is just too long. I would have preferred the USC method, and then would have been content with somalis spewing their normal bullshit of "somali wey is wada dhishay". After we got tired of fighting, we would've just formed a federal state and called it a day instead of being in limbo for this long for this secession bs.
