Borama comes to Henley 2017

The city of Borama is a sister city of the historical and beautiful riverside town of Henley-On-Thames in Oxfordshire. The link between the two was first established in 1982 by Brigadier Malcolm Page who served there in 1947 and who is now the Chairman of the Henley Borama Friendship Association.

In recent years the friendship between Borama and Henley-on Thames has been revived and strengthened through the annual 'Borama comes to Henley' event. This event took place today in Mill Meadows, Henley and was a day of celebrating this longstanding friendship and our culture through poetry, singing and the traditional Saylici dances.
