We in PL luckily we are not starving but we are not exactly wealthy with our youths not owning assets, they also lack any marketable skills to gain an income. We have a very large youthful population in Puntland and any idea or policy will need to be designed for this segment of our population or else we will never leave the trap of poverty as long as the bulk of our population are sitting by idly and not producing or delivering a product.
Poverty is a situation when a person lacks a marketable skill to acquire an income or their assetless, historically and even now assets are handed down thru generational wealth from family to family. We need to encourge in Puntland to develop 'inheritance wills' and hand down generational wealth for their next generation. We need to invite companies into Puntland to train our youthful population to develop a skill. We need government to subsidize land plots so it's affordable for working puntites to buy a property. We need the banking infrastructure to explode in Puntland so people can take out loans for homes, cars, or investment.
We need a multi-partnered strategy at the government level setting aside land plots for young people who work in Puntland at discounted rates to match their income. We must encourage Puntites to take out loans from puntland bankers to buy an asset as this will be passed down generationally to their kids as assets. We must set-up labor laws to ensure businesses are paying wages according to market rates and living costs.
Anyone found paying below market rates and living costs must be fined or their business license removed. We need business-govt to work together to create boom of home ownership among our youthful population so they can develop assets to hand down to their kids.
