Going to be honest here.

I'm not a fan of putting random POC people, especially black people in the place of European historical roles. All that does is cause the actor/actress a bunch of racial hate like in Bridgerton.

Second of all, these people make hundreds of remakes all surrounded around European history but can't even bother to make shows about any other history. It's lazy representation because it's easier to throw a black character in who will take the brunt of the hate then create a show about African or Asian history.

hollywood would rather cast blacks in European stories rather than tell African stories lol. Someone said progressive are so woke they become racist

Don't they realise that this is counter productive? By putting these Blacks into historical dramas, they are insulting the historical heritage of Europeans. This just fuels xenophobia.

It'd be like depicting the Somali hero Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan as a Chinese guy!
