I don't smoke I have indulged in a glass of wine during a special charity event lol, but Somalis do act differently that's true, however it's becuase they are away from the stigma of being judged for drinking, dancing with men and women etc. All of these go against a conservative community ideology. They aren't being fake they are letting their hair down and having fun, that's all. It's simple...

Becuase they are liberal live in a western society, where fun is usually attached to going out at night getting hammered and living the free live. When your young and you see all your friends having fun, it's easy to subdued and follow the crowd.

I knew a girl who used to wear a hijab and act like the most perfect child in the world when around our neighbourhood and in school who is mostly somali/muslim, But i saw her one day outside with her white friends with out no hijab, letting her breast show while holding a beer

Alcohol is one of the first things someone on a wrong path indulges in. So about that clubbing....it matters little in the grand scheme of things.

It actually says alot about such folks. Be one thing. Don't be a mother theresa to your parents and relatives and a kardashian to your friends. Such people have low weak personalities. Easily influenced in life and no moral backbone. Snakes in the grass i call them. Like many here on SS and outside They deserve no respect.

I respect a person that really knows who they are and aren't hypocrites that act brand new in front of certain folks.

If your a alcoholic drinking fornicator and for some reason you're proud of it, go right ahead but don't be a faker when you're in front of religious conservatives. If you're a pious upright God fearing religious conservative and are proud, go right ahead but don't compromise your deen to "fit in" with your peers or whoever.

Moral of the story: At the end of the day people will judge you regardless of your actions but nobody likes a hypocrite(fakeperson).
