LOOL that's actually funny, I never thought I'd play chess this seriously either, but then one day I played for fun against this tamil kid and I was crushed. I felt embarrassed because my own peer destroyed me I was thinking "what did he have that I didn't have?" Nothing! So I started grinding playing everyday, studying the game, watching pro players until I could beat him. All because my parents would always be dissapointed when kids my age would be better than me, it conditioned me to always be better then everyone my age in everything, they'd always say "Facaaga iska reeb" which means "live your peers behind you". Me and that tamil kid are now very close and competitive friends, we joined the ball team together, cross country, math contests, who could get higher marks, who could pull more girls, who could throw a rock farther, Always trying to one up each other.
