There was this guy everyone liked at the Masjid. He would always have Quran themed lessons after Friday Qutbah. He did this consistently for couple of years.

Until one day the guys at the Masjid asked themselves why he doesn't mention the Prophet peace be upon him or Hadiths when he is doing Tafsir of the Qur'an. After some digging they found out he was Quranist and they banned him from the Mosque. And they made sure the every Mosque in town knew about him. Now he resorts to grabbing youths from the streets and giving them "Dawah".

Quran and Hadiths complete Islamic knowledge. The Quran says to follow the Sunnah. There are some fabricated Hadith or just taken out of context, but most are accurate especially Sahih Bukhari

What is a quranist?

Quranists are a delusional cult which reject all Hadiths and only “follow” the Quran as their source which is an oxymoron since the Quran tells us to obey the Prophet (ﷺ) (The Prophet’s ﷺ commands are in the Sahih Hadiths, not the Quran).

Their logic is extremely flawed. Many aspects of the deen is from the sunnah. For instance how to pray salat. No verse in the quran gives a step by step account if this. How do quranist explain prayer in that case?
