He was seemingly feeling very isolated because of covid and couldn't even visit a good friend's funeral a while back because of the restrictions in place. And being a mangaka is not easy stuff. He worked that grind to the point of 4 hours of sleep for years on end and it took its toll probably along with a subpar diet.

On a real note though, I remember hiding the pages from my Hooyo when I was in High School walaahi. Some nacaas dared me to read, and it scared me. The first pages were gruesome asl.

I ended up binge reading that shit like crazy. I was finishing volumes like a madman. Berserk was some sort ecstasy. You felt geniune entertainment reading it, especially with the art. So sad to see him go.

2018, I heard about the manga before but never got around to it. I binged the entire series over 3 days during the Christmas holidays, was a very fun journey. sad to think it may not be concluded
