This is a huge L for beesha sade. Every village, town, and major city of Puntland has an MCH. Your health development is so behind, you don't even have general hospitals and general surgeries let alone specialist facilities. Puntland is heading towards specialist health services so we can deliver health outcomes to our locals who will not need to use overseas doctors while your ass was getting flighted to Mogadishu for basic maternity services, this reminds of PL ack in the 50-60's of era, you are the new 'gaari waa' regions.

PS - I would expect this type of development for some 'tuulo' not a regional town. They are playing catch up as 'saaxo' Puntland is developing so fast by joining the development race in PL, rather then being in stuck in GAL MURANS.

Belethawo being a major regional city building an 'MCH' which is projects for villages and tuulos in Puntland is a damn shame is my point and shows you what happens when you follow Marehan leaders, all you get is nonsense like that happening.

They neglect Gedo while pleasing Hawiye in mogadishu, what the f*ck is wrong with them? at least a good marehan leader will secure something for gedo from being in villa Somalia but he hasn't. As @Finesse intelligently pointed out 'charity starts at home' not at your neighbors or other people cities.

This backward way of Somali thinking is to help Somalia and then help their regions which is totally against any logic because this teaches to help somewhere else before you help your own and this isn't common in humanity. It's like me, if I go to Puntland, I will help my 'village' which is birta-dheer first before I help bender bayla @Jablibax because charity starts at home not away from home.

Large cities = General hospitals which covers simple surgeries. Infact large cities need to evolve to specialize like have eye hospital, brain hospital, kids hospital.
Towns = General hospital for general medicines but not surgeries, they reallocate work to major cities.
Villages = MCH for basic maternity services so they don't have to die while driving 10 hours just to give birth which is a simple process and can be done by mid-wives in their own villages. They either go to general hospitals in towns for basic services or large cities for surgeries and specialized services.

Now when u go to GEDO, tell them to follow a basic model. Belet-Hawo should have at least a general hospital by now, maybe not surgeries, but for basic GP services.

Even Dhahar health services is better then Belet-hawo who only has an MCH. Check this out!!!


They have general hospital meaning GP services plus a 'refferal' hospital meaning they assign non-GP health services to larger cities like Galkayo-Garowe-Bosaso. That's how things operate in PL. MCH, Immunisation, and basic service like that should be done at a village level, you don't need GP or specialist experience to do this work.

Fully agree we need simple town planning , as a senior project manager in the US and EU. And now doing a lot of agricultural projects back home. It’s so simple but the lack of education is astounding.
