Begging culture.

I’m sick and tired of Somali people normalizing begging. I can’t go shopping anywhere without bunch of people circling me as soon as I step outside asking for money- men, women, children. I’ve even seen strong abled bodied women asking for money. Also, this I’ve noticed from relatives, you give them money and they keep asking for more and more and more, it never ends. I swear the amount of money I’ve given to some people, they could have bought a Tuktuk, or something and made money for themselves.
this mentality is also found with some of the daisphora community in which they’ll look for ways to get support from the government. I see many immigrant communities like the Filipino community and they work hard and contribute to society. It’s frustrating that being lazy and begging for money is being normalized and not viewed as shameful.

I’m also slaving away in this rat race, unless you’re mentally or severely physically handicapped, go get a hair cut and get a real job like the rest of us. The elderly should be taken care of by their children or family members.

I’m in Mogadishu. Every restaurant, grocery store, hotel etc had people walking around begging. You can’t walk down the street without people grabbing you with their filthy hands asking for money. They have signs with their numbers on to transfer money. It’s a bloody gong show. Can’t even go to xamarwayne to shop.

You're going to eat cambuulo, roll around the house, fart and not clean. That is unacceptable.

Also, calling a 30-year-old man "unc" is crazy.
