Becoming rich will not make you happy

I’ve noticed the demonization of 9-5 jobs and the growing obsession with being rich/high-value. I think it’s mentally damaging . A lot of people believe their good people sorely off their income or job title. I got told by an ex friend that my political opinions don’t matter because my income, which is 35k a year. She said she has a big people job ( YES, SHE ACTUALLY USED THOSE EXACT WORDS!!!!) aka she works for the state. Also, is a manic depressive & alcoholic

It wont by itself but I would choose being happy and rich over being poor and happy. People must be so incredibly stupid to think an external factor like your purchasing power will make you a satisfied and forever happy and calm individual when it's the opposite, internal affects external. So a happy person would logically be just as happy with money too.

A lot of the people I know personally truly believe that your only value as a person is how much you earn. I make art as a hobby and it baffles them why I would want to dedicate time to something that doesn’t produce money. My exes’ brother is in a MLM and preys on poor black people with this spiel. He’s extremely narcissistic and delusional.

It might not make my life complete, nothing will, but it will definitely make me happier than not having money.
Saying otherwise is just cope.

Being rich in and of itself doesn't lead to happiness but it can lead to lifestyle choices that will make someone happier like marriage, pursuing hobbies, traveling, furthering education etc.

So they say and yet hardly anyone gives up their wealth instead they find more ways to accumulate money. It must be the power aspect that drives them.

There’s nothing wrong with being middle class and isn’t the same as being poor. Not being rich doesn’t equate to living in poverty. If everyone is rich, then no one is. If everyone made 100k & above a year, the prices of everything would raise up. Similar to how colleges became more expensive when the government started to give financial aid
