İts good to see the diesel engine electric machines being swapped with solar it's completely gas free and will lower the price of electricity

They need to partner with some of the major International renewable energy funds and get a few 200MW solar plants and wind farms constructed in the country.

I have shares in hormuud but they should spin it off into a separate company so it can raise funds easier and earlier shareholders can take profits. I will vote for this at the next board meeting inshallah.
isnt hormuud share buying hawiye only or am i mistaken

Both Golis and Telsom are Hormuud owned. They operate in Puntland while Telsom operates in Somaliland. Both are Hormuud conglomerates. This is from the world bank. Golis has a lot of Darood stakeholders while Telesom has Isaaq/Dir stakeholders. Hormuud transcends qabiil.

Beco functions as a separate company so much so that people don’t even know that it’s owned by Hormuud unless they are made aware off. As for the shares I’m not really sure how it would work. Since you are part of Hormuud you might be able to get more information.

Solar panel technology is getting more and more efficient as time goes on.

This is great to see.
They need natural gas for base-load energy however.

The belief that renewables alone can provide energy at all times is the delusion that Germany is paying for at the current moment, and that a country like Somalia cannot afford.

Indeed, you need a balance, I feel nuclear energy is the way, especially small compact thorium nuclear reactors, you can place them underground or in the middle of cities or where they are needed.
