I was inspired to write this when i saw a video of a legend News Man Bryant Gumbel take on his experience of Racism in America. The 71 year old Black man is in an accomplished, absolutely talented News Man. Yet, he feigns this victim-hood notion of experiencing Racism. I am sure, for his part, there is a tinge of pretentiousness, & disingenuous, because i cannot fathom to imagine, this immaculately suave, speaking man ever experienced racism. Could it be, if true-this is, ALL his imagination? I mean, its natural when u look certain way & hang out with people who don't look like you, you are bound to have voices within you. Do i fit in? Do they think i fit in? (that's WHY GOD created nations who look alike to co-exist) Whether his claims are true or not, humanity needs to prevail in the end. We need to rise above our tribal virus of belonging to a 'team' or supporting our 'clan' in a mass racial intellectual dishonesty! We need to embrace our humanity at its rawest; vulnerable, dumb, spontaneous, impatient, selfish, etc etc . This is the spark of what we ALL humans share despite our different races or here in Somali spot- different 'tribes' or 'clans'.

At the core of racial victim-hood, lies this low self esteem of a body, where one gives power to another, willingly. So what if someone calls you the N word? Or the White equivalent of low class white derogatory. Or lately- Kung Flu. Who cares? Did NOT GOD create the White Man? The Black Man? The Yellow Man? Therefore, is NOT GOD our source of Judge & Justice??????
So, go on then, live your life with the assurance that whatever Injustice you face, ALLAAH swt will give you the ultimate Godly Justice on the day of the Accounting!

Again, as Humans we need to rise above these petty bickerings & get to the crux of the issue. We are ALL base Human beings. We are vulnerable under the Power & Protection of our creator & protector Allaah swt. All of us have rights in the face of our creator. Harming one another is a violation yes against our humanity, but mostly &-dangerously a violation of God, Allaaah swt, our creator. Before you even think of harming another human being, STOP & imagine the almighty creator is watching & recording. The ONE God, WHO does not care if your nose is flat or aquiline. Your Akhlaaq, your heart, your mind, your prayers, your goodness in the end will save you. So chill.

We are ALL weak & inferior under the throne of Allaaah swt!

Fine print disclosure: My apologies to Model Hamdia Ahmed. My base weak humanity got the best of me. :(

Competition is part & parcel of his profession. Go ask thousand of White people competing for the same job. I would say, Gumbel had an edge because he was different. I mean, he was not white.

Yeah but him being black in an industry with white faces is not a plus. I agree that it's cause he was different though.

@sincity in fact. i think, in my humble opinion, Gumbel should argue, there is an 'exception' to the rule. He was the exception. I am pretty sure he never experience racism, at least overt racism. But i can't really say that, because he could be walking in the Hamptons, hang outs for the rich and famous--and randomly be judged.

A white woman will clutch on her purse as Danzel Washington once confessed. I agree such random offenses can happen & it can be annoying! lol

But i look at it this way, even black people are racist. I clutch on my purse when i see black Americans approach me. Wait....

am i black?

So you admit it's likely he faced racism in rich white upper society? Racism is racism regardless, if he was a white man he would not have faced such stereotypes. Clutching your purse when you see a black man is also very racist. I identify as a black man.
