Somalis are one tribe, we have different clans (dir, isaaq, darod, tumal etc). It’s fair to recognize Jarerweyne as another tribe.
To me: Somalis sees Jarerweyne the way the cadaans sees ADOS in America.
Somalis don’t even respect themselves regarding with the whole qabil political tantrum we throw at each other.
I may joked about Bantus before or may haven’t recognised them as Somalis.
(I may not see them as ethnical Somalis for an obvious reasons).
Looking at it in a cultural and national sense: they’re Somali.
if they integrated to the daqan and have national pride; they’re Somali.
Being a Somali is quite broad -if we’re to exclude the genetic and ancestry off the chart.
They’re one of us just not part of us.
