there are many many tens of thousands of families who have been living primarily off hawala money over the decades. That money trickles down to their regions where not many bantus live and other Somalis indirectly or even directly benefit from it. There are definitely families and I know many who have been living off diaspora welfare for 25+ years.

I can totally see how bantus are underrepresented in receiving remittance money or benefiting from it somehow.

In the grand scheme of things, they’re underrepresented in the Somali diaspora.

This is not true. Bantus helped the USC in killing Darood civilians fleeing Mogadishu, and in Southern Somalia. They used to hammer nails inside their heads which is brutal. The Hawiye turned on them after there were no more Daroods to kill.
