In the Italian census of 1932, Gedo was 75 % Marehan. Stop making lies. That same census labelled Hawiye as 10 % of Lower Shabelle.
Actually Italian census said that Lower Shebelle was 98% HAG. In the Italian census reer Cabudwaaq never mentioned. They arrived in the 70s because of Siad Barre. However reer Abudwaaq were 80% in Galgaduud and 52% in Mudug in the 1930s Italien census but today are less than 2%. The same could be said of Dhulbaante who were majority in Sool, Sanaag and Nugaal during 1930s Italian census but are today also less than 2%. and a very small minority.

Most of Gedo history, economics and population are centered around Jubba river banks and its counteless farming villages.

Lower Shabelle isnt majority anything and if there is its D&M. D&M do the Hawiye tactic of adopting clans much better then Hawiye.
RX already have atleast a plurality absorbing Cadcad Madowweyn Garre(current governor) and potentially Biyomaal(politically) will give them lower shabelle by a landslide compared to Hawiye whos biggest clan in KG is Galjecel(not even Hawiye).

There is far far more HAG in LS than D&M in Banadir. The fact you’re even questioning this can only make sense if you’re assuming these camps as citizens.
Regardless it’s in HAG’s interest for LS in KG with Barawe as it’s capital and Banadir as a stand-alone state.
If Bay+Bakool was just KG then you could quite easily see it in the future becoming independent of HAG.

Hawiyes overrepresent their share of Xamar because they usually count all non-daroods as their political umbrella. That clearly doesnt work with RX otherwise LS wouldnt be in KG.
