A few years ago I was attending the yearly conference at my mosque. There was a sheikh from America on the panel doing the Q&A. One Arab guy (I think he had a few screws loose) must have been overlooked the entire day so he had enough and just got up to speak to the sheikh.

Only insecure people make show of their piety. It's totally rude to blast prayer calls when everyone knows, thanks to modern technology, prayer times. So, what's the point other than to bully and harass others?

Insha allah soon i will move to a muslim country, where i can hear the adhan on a regular basis.

i was in jeddah a year ago, beautiful to hear the adan from all directions coming from different masjids.
