I believe that the FGS officially recognises all of Mudug as part of Galmudug but obviously we know the reality on the ground. I know that Puntland is fully autonomous from the federal government but it is in Puntland's best interests long-term to be ruled by Mogadishu albeit there has to be a mutually beneficial agreement between the FGS and PL

UAE style collegial federalism is the way for all parts of Somalia to accept being governed by a strong federal government

Gedo unlike the other states in Somalia is an unconfined independent entity with no real jurisdictions, the state works freely alongside Mogadishu no matter who’s in charge. Madoobe had/has absolutely no say.

That's the thing. It's in Somalia's interest to respect Puntland. If you want to cooperate with them, at least realist how this State has been functioning for the last 24 years.

Being ruled from Mogadishu will come after once Somaliland, Alshabab and securing the board goes into effect.
