I agree that joining Ethiopia would definitely be better then the status quo of Somalia and it would bring peace and stability. But I would still preffer to be a part of a prosperous Somalia then to come under Ethiopia .

@mohamedismail Sometimes a leader can be in a situation where there is no good options and therefore it's a case of what's the least worst.

Sometimes a leader of a region needs to choose options not based on good n bad but sometimes it's selecting between bad and worse.

Maybe not now but defo in the future. As SWS gains more control of their territory .
I wasn’t saying this as a slight but an observation

Mogadishu’s costal positioning is that of a self isolating city state that probably was focused on its own economic development – self serving, consuming it’s imports and extraction of interior goods for export. It’s not that one of a capital intent on or capable of projecting power and stability.

Yes. That's probably the trajectory of Somalia. Weak FGS and powerful states.

Somalia should be renamed to ''The Adoon State of Ethiopia'' :pacspit:They rolled in with their tanks and shelled the city with BMs and xasuuqed so many innocent people when they invaded Somalia in 2006.

Considering their history of committing atrocities, including the massacre of children, women, and civilians during their 2006 invasion, Ethiopia should face a ban on any involvement in Somalia.

That flag should never, ever be allowed to be waved on Somali soil.

:snoop: AUN to all the victims of the 2006 invasion.

Somalia/Ethiopia: Deliberate killing of civilians is a war crime

Amnesty International refutes statements made by the Ethiopian government on its report about a raid on the Al Hidya Mosque in Mogadishu on 19 April 2008. In the attack, Ethiopian forces killed at least 21 people, including 11 unarmed civilians inside the mosque, and detained at least 40 children and youths, aged 9 to 18. At least 10 others were killed by Ethiopian forces in the vicinity of the mosque.

Reports released by the organization are based on several cross-checked, independent sources such as family members of victims, testimonies gathered at the location, including individuals present in the mosque while the killings took place, and local Amnesty International contacts. “Deliberately killing civilians is a war crime,” said Amnesty International. “We call on the Ethiopian government to ensure an independent investigation is carried out into the raid on the mosque and the subsequent treatment of those detained by its forces.” Seven of the 21 killed at the mosque were reported to have had their throats cut, a form of illegal execution practised by Ethiopian troops in Somalia. Amnesty International has documented a pattern of these ‘throat-slitting’ executions, which often occur in security sweeps after attacks on Ethiopian forces in Somalia.

Somali media today reported that forces of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) of Somalia have taken 18 of the children and youths detained by the Ethiopian forces at the Al Hidya mosque into custody at the Criminal Investigations Department of the Somali police. An additional 32 children and youths have been released, according to a TFG spokesperson. In line with international standards on the rights of the child, detention should only be as a last resort and for the minimum time possible. Amnesty International calls for the 18 who remain in detention to be charged with a recognized offence and brought before a court, or released.

Amnesty International again calls on the Ethiopian Government to commit to an independent investigation into the killings carried out during and after the Al Hidya mosque raid. Once such an investigation has been made, the findings should be made public and any Ethiopian soldiers implicated in the investigation should be brought to justice in line with international fair trial standards.

You support Ethiopia annexing Somalia?

Lol no, just joking. I do not think this situation is that. Ethiopia may try it in the future, but now? No.

I do remember a wikileaks report a while back saying some countries suggested kenya and ethiopia split somalia and annex it but that's messed up man.

What ethio has done to somalia is minimal compared to what somalis have done to somalia since pan somalian was introduced. Stop trying to fool us into pan somalian using an imaginary foreign enemy trying to disguise somali worst enemy has always been somalia. Baydhabo chose the least of bad options. I refuse somalis skip two human advancement era industrialization and now artificial intelligence for your silly somalinimo. I refuse us to be future aborigines of the future only to uphold this cancer somalinimo.

The Ethiopian in Baydhabo are under Amisom. They aren’t a separate entity to Atmis

Yes,taas run baad ku sheegtay there's no denying that reality. However, let's not disregard the historical animosity and hostility of the Ethios. Opting for annexation by one's biggest enemy on the planet is hardly a favorable choice. As for your mention of human advancement, what specific progress are you referring to? Examining various countries across the continent reveals how it lags behind, even in the face of peace and stability.. The disdain you hold for different qabiils appears to be clouding your logical thinking🤣. External influence and bribery find it easier to seep in through federalism, where every president becomes susceptible to selling out and carrying out the wishes of our cadows. Federalism needs to go if the country wants to move forward. The country needs one strong government that can hold the whole nation together. It would be a challenging task, but it's doable with educated, qualified, and honest politicians – a rarity nowadays. They would definitely steer the wadan in the right direction. I'm not against federalism until everyone is ready to unite and become one. That day will come surely in the future when everyone realizes it's the only way Somalia can stand up against foreign influence 100% .Your worst nighmare of Somalis reuniting won't come true in your life time but it certianly will become true as you lie in the ground six feet deep, getting eaten by dixiri
