Its very sad but you should look into the history of the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh. You will see these kind of exceptionally cruel crimes have been committed by both sides on a mass scale.

Women should be trained for combat and armed, but never in the frontlines in my opinion. I also think male and female soldiers should be segregated because rapist perverts will rape anyone.
