Honestly, she’s kinda right. Ayesha had to sacrifice her own ambitions to be the wife of an NBA player. Think about it: she’s raising the kids while he’s on the road for most of the year, and she deals with constant intrusions into her private life. For some women, that role might be exactly what they wanted, but she’s just being honest about the trade-offs. That doesn’t mean she’s ungrateful , she clearly loves her husband and made that choice consciously.
Stephen Curry, for his part, seems like an unusually understanding husband, so i disagree with her on that one. He doesn’t care about outsiders’ opinions or the slander on social media; he always defends the mother of his children. And unlike a lot of NBA stars, he’s built an empire by thinking long-term. He reinvests in diverse sectors, negotiated equity in Under Armour that’s now worth billions instead of taking the Nike deal, and donates large portions of his wealth to local communities. He comes across less as a fame driven celebrity and more as a social entrepreneur whose attention comes naturally from basketball, not a craving for outside validation.
Will Smith feels like the opposite. His money hasn’t gone into diverse ventures , most of it ties back to his acting, music, or PR efforts to stay relevant. Even in his own words, his pursuit of acting and rapping wasn’t rooted in creativity but in a desire for fame and outside approval. That obsession with reputation management bled into his family life. The “Jada situation” is probably overblown, but the dysfunction people perceive in his family stems from his need to project an image of the perfect Hollywood household.
There’s a reason his eldest child, who grew up mostly outside that machine after the divorce, seems the most grounded. Meanwhile, his other kids were pushed into the limelight before they were ready. Willow even said she didn’t want it, but he forced it anyway , you can see him admit this in interviews.
To me, that contrast sums it up: Curry prioritizes legacy and substance, while Smith chases image and outside approval.
