It really is cringe because she comes across a disgruntled clannist.

I suspect she didn't have a tough life, her father was an educated man and sponsored her family to live in the suburbs of Nairobi while he lived between Somali and Ethiopia.

Everything she said about her life, about forced arranged marriage, honor killing threats or clan rule was a lie that was exposed by a Dutch Television crew that did an investigation. She didn't even escape to the Netherlands she was sponsored by her Husband who was supposed to later join her and when she asked for a divorce he accepted it with no problem and she met with him after that and still had contact with her family. She didn't grow up wearing a hijab and went to a catholic sponsored boarding school in Kenya.

She ran to America after it was discovered that she committed immigration fraud by claiming that she was seeking asylum from Somalia and then she just reinvented the same grift there.

She is purely a grifter, she saw oppurtunity in the large wave of anti-Islam sentiments in the Netherlands in the early 2000s and then exploited it to advance a career for herself.
