Not your typical Farah
When I was in high school, I spent my parents money and some of mine(part time work) -- on the "typical" young man shit like designer clothes, gadgets, etc. Right after HS, all that changed and I started shopping cheaper for clothes, but I didn't save much of that, it went to FOOD lol. Now, I'm balanced.

We had a frugal upbringing too. My mom esp is excellent at handling money, and they tried to drill that into me, but I'd describe my attitude with money as horde and splurge. I save to spend.

The somewhat good thing is, it's entered around practicality and quality. I research and read reviews, and I'll write reviews if I feel compelled. I'll pay more for the better product, but I don't get swept up in fads or the latest gadgets. I don't care the kind of car I'm driving is from the 90's, but certain specs and details are important to me, and I have some particulars I need fulfilled esp when it comes to personal products. I do feel guilty when I overspend beyond a certain point.

December of last year, I finally set up an automatic saving deposit from my checking account to counteract the splurging and help along my saving efforts, and it's working. My saving grace or death knell, depending on how you look at it, is my openhandedness. I spend just as easily on other ppl as I do me, including complete strangers in some cases. I have a deep respect for misers tbh

Yes I tend to do alot of research as well before buying anything, I would rather go without then buy a product or service that does not fulfill what I want, it bothers me. The last part sounds like more of a saving grace.

Healthy meals LOOOL. What a joke. Of course not. The only thing I've eaten that's close to a healthy meal this week is french fries.

Just double checking, I went for a long time without fast food and when I had it one day, it tasted terrible and my body reacted, that stuff is poison & addictive tbh.
