I would rather have Atheist secularists run a country than the Sharia nonsense. I would've been killed and destined for hell if I live in a sharia enforced country. The western secularists are not atheist, they are anti religion satanists. its true they currently give you freedom to attack religion and pursue your sick fetishes but when the time comes you will be worshiping their version of God. Humans will believe, once they encounter something supernatural. I dont see how you would be killed for being an apostate unless you made an announcement in an islamic state. apostates can leave a muslim state if they plan to leave the religion, they dont need to tell people they are apostates or gay. i dont see the point in living with muslims to agitate them. i remember a hadith where the prophet (sas) told the feminized men to move to a different town.

New atheism is a response to the religious crew in the west trying reinvent themselves into the political mainstream. They're already well established in America.

I am in support of secular democracy because it is the only system that can guarantee the rights of everyone. Some people will confuse democracy for majority rule (tyranny of the majority) or they'll confuse it with voting on everything. Democracy is simply a system that enables the people to choose who shall represent them. If you're against this, it shows you don't value a your own input in who gets to represent you. Democracy is compatible with Islam.

I'm also in support of secularism because no religious ideology should be imposed on anyone. You should be free to practice your religion not to impose it.

Implementing sharia is absolutely unpragmatic. Introducing the unadulterated form of sharia will create a state far worse then that of Saudi Arabia or Iran.

A secular democracy is the most ideal form of government, there is no question about that. I can almost guarantee that none of the members on here would be able to adhere to strict shariah laws. Surely, any cognitively functioning human can see how barbaric shariah laws are. A thief who does not testify must have his hand cut off, women are not able to divorce men until the man gives her the right to... There are numerous examples which are just mind baffling. Religious freedom and liberty are of paramount importance, only a secular society can provide that, in my opinion.

That's stupid because you can't tell anybody you are an atheist or gay? You will eventually get caught for missing prayers and will be accused of apostasy. All in all this way of thinking is way past in the ranks of facism. Muslims need to understand there are people of different beliefs which is not wrong. I believe in free speech not suppression.

It's funny how they completely disregard the real world consequences of what they say. They're so desperate for people to conform to their beliefs, they're willing to harm their own communities in the process. What happens to the person who through threats of violence/dissownment/dissmissal etc keep quiet about their beliefs/sexuality? They end up doing all the things that's expected of the average person. Like, say, getting married. Do the Muslims who support suppression want to end up marrying a secret apostate/ gay person? Because if not them, it will be some other innocent unsuspecting Muslim. As someone already said Atheism is disbelief in God and is completely silent on political ideology or morality. Atheists like the rest of humanity subscribe to all kinds of political movements and morals.
