He was a year younger than me and absolutely. Too young. It didn’t work out for us, but I recognize that he was young ( as was I ) and know he’ll be a better father in the future and a better husband for someone else.

I try not to make it seem like exclusively Somalis do it when it’s certain tribes who do so and practice it. But I promise you hawiyes do it to. They just don’t broadcast it. Marriages within familes who know each other are very common.
