Why do you think Somalis boost videos made by ajnabis that much?

Why not create their own videos and channels if they want representation?

Do you think this is an issue of craving validation from outsiders/disappointment due to the state of Somalia right now?
Yes i completely agree that it's the current state of somalia that drives somalis to act as they do. They seem to shower any video with the name somali with views likes which make them look desperate. They don't need validation from anybody but they can't help it since there is so much negativity about somalia in the main stream media and in the news. Any positive reaction of somalia is welcomed and celebrated by them.

It's so little negative representation, I feel. I barely see anything about Somalia in mainstream news. The Middle East is mentioned more because it's in a worse state than Somalia (objectively speaking). Speaking of them, they don't seem to engage in this behavior.

Why is the opposite true for us?

Oh sorry i meant the arab news such as al-jazeera and other arab medias it's a well known fact in the arab world somalia doesn't have a good image remember the syrian girl and what she said about africa. Well it's the same thing for somalia. I can't speak for non arabic speaking somalis. Surprisingly if they start with say yemenis themed video or any other arab country they won't get the same traction as they would've had they done a somali themed one. Guess arabs are a tough crowed and somalis are easily amused.

Here is a sudanese person that is speaking about the negative image of somalia in the arab world.

Also, can you translate? I don't speak a second language (other than English and Somali).

I define Somalians as people thwt are non ethnic somalis I.e somali bantus, Benadiri, Bravanese, arabs and turks But still resides in somalia so to me it's no different than being called an Ethiopian. If she was from Somalia should be a somalian not a somali
