This is practically impossible. How can Ukraine smuggle in drones to rebel areas when they barely can get humanitarian assistance into Idlib/Aleppo without any hinderance?

Also, it's in Ukrainian interest to target Russian positions either military sites or arsenal provided by them. What does Ukrainians get from Syrian soldiers being killed? I don't think they would allow it either if provided with drones and was used for other purposes.

With that said, I'm certain that it's another country involved in this calamity.

Tbh, if foreign countries were removed from Syria, I'm pretty sure that SNA would not have much upper hand against the rebels.

In fact, it was the Russians that saved the government from ceasing to exist when they intervened in 2015. That's also when all hell broke loose and their atrocities got worse.

It will be interesting to see how things develop. Russia have drawn back to a certain extent to focus on Ukraine, but I don't think they will give up on Syria given how much resources they've spent there. That's like thinking the US would give up on Somalia due to our shortcomings when we've disappointing them over and over again

The Rebels are too divided to rule Syria. I hope HTS takes over the rest of the North. That’s the only solution for Free Syria. I am also hoping that HTS avoids becoming the next ISIS. They need to be more political and less clergy. The war on terrorism saved Assad from defeat.

HTS have managed to unite some of the different fractions in Idlib under 'Syrian Salvation Government'. But their biggest challenge is the Turkish backed rebels and the Free Syrian Army/'Syrian Interim Government' who have their own agenda. And they control much more territory than HTS. The border areas that Turkey captured from the Kurds a couple of years ago are controlled by them.
