At Least 100 Dead After Drone Attack in Syria

A drone strike killed more than 100 and injured more 200 at a military academy in Homs, Syria. The government blamed on rebels backed by international forces.

Look at the scene. I’m not an Assad supporter, but seeing the scale of the aftermath, they are correct that this is not done by the rebels alone. It’s way too sophisticated :mindblown:

In the very same day in Syria, Turkey went all in on the Kurds

Also today, a US fighter jet downed a Turkish drone. The war is escalating in Syria

The Syrian national army retaliated by targeting countless rebel positions. The footages are astonishing.

There is not A Syrian Army with this capability. They are reliant on Russian foreigners to bomb civilian homes in Syria. The Assad regime does not have the capability to avoid civilian casualties. They only kill non combatants.

(Translation) The person in the picture is named (Hassan Ahmed), and he is a brigadier general in Assad’s army who participated in the killing and displacement of Syrians during the past 12 years.Today, he stands in front of the bodies of his twin sons who bid farewell to the World at the Military College yesterday.!

Some people are speculating that Ukraine is supporting the rebels with drone intelligence& accuracy. Russia supports the Syrian regime and its in the interest of Ukraine to see the defeat of Russian forces in Syria.

Are Erdogan and Assad cooperating now?:cosbyhmm:

I’m not sure, but Erdogan is beginning to accept the reality that Assad is here to stay, even though he doesn’t like him.

The only thing they have in common is being anti-separatism (and anti-local autonomy/federalism) as proposed by the Kurds. But this issue is more urgent for Turkey who view PKK/YPG as an imminent threat to their stability, while it's more of a secondary thought for Assad.

People tend to forget that the Kurds have more issues with the centralized system rather than Assad himself. They are ready to make a deal with him as soon as he agree to decentralization. But the Arab rebels in Idlib and Aleppo region want him totally gone.

This is practically impossible. How can Ukraine smuggle in drones to rebel areas when they barely can get humanitarian assistance into Idlib/Aleppo without any hinderance?

Also, it's in Ukrainian interest to target Russian positions either military sites or arsenal provided by them. What does Ukrainians get from Syrian soldiers being killed? I don't think they would allow it either if provided with drones and was used for other purposes.

With that said, I'm certain that it's another country involved in this calamity.

Alhamdulliah. As Muslims we should celebrate the obliteration of the Nusayri Assadist forces occupying our beloved Sham
It's pretty funny when tribal zealots talk about Muslims from other ethnic groups and the love they have for them but at the same time showcase how much they despise neighbouring clans.

Somalia suffers with tribalism while Syria suffers with sectarianism. If Somalia had a Shia tribe I would view them the same way as Arab Shias. They are not Muslims.

This looks similar to the Houthis Drone attack on Aden in 2019. It’s crazy to see these Syrian rebels adopting a new deadly strategy against Assad

:ohhh:

Both war have been at a stalemate for years. We need to find another approach to solve them.

Assad has been unsuccessful in taking over Idlib and parts of Aleppo, despite Russian and Iranian support. The Arab/Sunni rebels have failed in removing Assad or make progress despite the support from some foreign countries. The Kurds have failed to prevent Turkey from taking over their land, despite American support. Turkey has failed to remove YPG/PKK from Syria, even with the help of local Turkish backed rebels. Assad has also failed to come to a deal with the Kurds. Iranian attempts at using Syria as a base to attack Israel has only backfired on Syrians, with Iran not loosing much. And the list goes on.
