In Japan, this artist put out a song called Random Ass Ahite Girl because on every corner ans billoard there are random white girls used for every advertisement. Their was another video of an asian woman talking about how anh white woman can become a “model” in japan.
Just the other day on korean translation site they were talking about how companies and department stores from korea always use white models and these were there repsonses:

On the contrary, western brands prefer their Asian models to have that slanted eyes look despite there being a lot of Asians with big, round eyes too. They think it's "more Asian". Asians use westerners for their classy image while westerners use Asians for their exotic image. It's embarrassing all around.
13. [+14, -4] Having white models gives the brand a classier vibe, and they're cheaper than hiring a celebrity. Brands run the risk of cheapening their image with celebrity models if they're not able to get an A list name.
The other comments were defending saying they’re cheaper but these are all unknown commercial models. Any korean person would be willing to take a job of being plastered at a mall advertisement and it would boost their modelling career.

Sure some people marry out and some individuals have marginal tastes but the level to which it is practiced is sort of sad.
