But in regards to what you said about growth the situations around Asians is not a good sign for us Africans.

Think about what the Asians have done that we haven’t done:
- huge booming economies
- having a fully separate civilisation (You can live your life as a Japanese/Chinese person with ever interacting with the west)
- Their own forms of entertainment that promotes Asians.

And still they idolise white people.

Let's be honest, even prior to colonialism, light skin was seen as an attractive trait pretty much globally. Of course, the economic disparity of the West to the rest of the world is another factor but even when European slaves were being taken by Ottomans or Arabs in Al-Andulus , white women were pretty much put on a pedestal for their looks. It's not a recent phenomena

I think the essential difference is that Asian societies/cultures had already developed the idealisation and valorisation of light skin long before the period of Western colonialism.

Asians already had people that could approximate to the complexion of white Europeans, and so when Europeans arrived, they were automatically received as the highest representation of that ideal.

No indigenous African population could conceivably approximate to the complexion of Europeans; and no African population regarded ghostly white skin as the ideal.

Also, Asians have not been explicit in their racial self love and self-prioritisation; they routinely make use of white models in their commercials and consume a great deal of Western media and popular culture. Africa should be the complete opposite and such practices should not be accepted...

..I think we should work with Western universities and research institutes (especially in STEM) but cultural interactions should be kept to a minimum; significant cultural progress is required, but a culturally hermetically sealed continent is what we should aspire to.

I would also be in favour of creating an economic order in which a unified Africa (excluding Egypt + the Maghreb) spurned currency based transactions and used a basket of natural resources in collective bargaining arrangements to acquire strategic and critical technologies with the rest of the world.

Even assuming that to be true, romans and Greeks considered their darker “Mediterranean” looks to be far more attractive than lighter skinned Northern Europeans.

That’s one thing I like about Somalis.We have an almost delusional confidence where even the most unattractive of us believes they can find a partner.
