Dr Abdi Issa, the last time he won with the deputy governor, our folks there teamed up with Kikuyu in Siolo county in order to beat the Borana and Samburu coalition. Kikuyu took the governor position.

Some of the Dhulbahante community members in Nairobi went to Siolo and voted him there. We beat the Borana, and they were ing, saying why did you ally with the Kikuyu to let them get the governor position? Well, it seems they had a short memory when they were allied with the Catholic church in order to settle the Samburu in Siolo county and remove the Somalis from their areas.

It is votes, but to beat your opponents, you need to gather enough votes. Since our voters there can't outnumber the Borana and Samburu, they had to seek other communities to vote for them. At the end, it is how many votes you get and how many votes your opponents get. It is numbers game, so getting as many votes as possible is the end goal.

Keep in mind, the Borana game was to completely defeat the Somalis in every office in Siolo county. So they started allying with other ethnics. And when they were matched, they started ing.

Garissa is Tolomoge country.Cawliyahan came to Garissa in the 70s and 80snbeing displaced by kacanka in Gedo.

It was MZ that pushed Abudwaaq in 1800s into Garissa after the MZ vs Cabudwaaq conflict in wajir when Cabudwaaq arrogantly killed the MZ ugaas in Wajir that sparked the war.
