El Dhere was one of the towns captured by the government in the offensives three years ago and may have now been recaptured by AS

From what I understand, the somalis in the south are indifferent which of AS or FGS that controls their land, so its just amisom/SNA that is fighting against AS and not somalis

When AS attacks a district its only amisom or SNA that tries to resist and the minute they lose the battle AS will effectively control that district with no single resistance from the locals, the only exception here is puntland and sland and may this will gonna change if AS gains ground iN those areas

The government is now back in control of El Dhere. It seems like that AS only took control of the town for a few hours and then after that attacked a gorgor base outside the town and were defeated there, afterwards the troops from the base counterattacked and AS militants retreated from the town by midday.
