Ok, in what ways do you disagree?
our arrogance dosent need to be toned down, and competition is the route to success, also looking out for your self individually is a good thing, if everyone in a city for example looks out for there own intreasts the city as a whole would be better, if every city in a country to took the effort to look. out for there own intreats the nation as a whole would be better and so forth

@Tukraq

Arrogance, competition and individualism are the three main points in your post, how do they relate to one another. Try again. Never mind.

I see your point but in reality sometimes we have no choice but to work with people and in that instance would arrogance and competition be the road to success. Say for example there is only one place in the city that has access to clean drinking water and in that city exists two arrogant groups of people who think they are better than the other would it make sense that two groups of people compete to see who gets complete access to the clean drinking water or would it make sense to share. I mean in Somali history there are many instances where we competed when we should have worked together. Many instances where only the few benefited and the majority have seen nothing. At what point are we supposed to not excuse this arrogance and competitions that are not necessary.

competition would create a demand for a second place with clean access in that city, and thus it would be created(demand means a profit will be made), and the city would be better off, the sharing version is actually worse as it then gives a monopoly and prolong the need for development of more sources and with out the competition makes them lazy and thus not bettering themselves due to this false sense of thinking its enough

Couldn’t they share and in the meantime look for better solutions. The fact there is only one place with clean access to drinking water means that there is already demand for another area. Thus, it would be created. Plus, competing means for a time period there would be one group without clean drinking water and a group with clean water, while collaborating means they both have clean drinking water. At the same time the process for finding clean water is not quick and easy and by the time some years pass by, you would find one with a head start in life because they have clean access to drinking water and all the benefits one would get from clean access to water while one severely dehydrated and behind in life. Wouldn’t this contribute to inequality? Some people at the top while others at the bottom and in the city as whole you would find one demographic doing better than the other. When in a city you want ideally the majority of the population to do well. Plus, in a competition there would be violence and in collaboration there wouldn’t be in this scenario.

competition spurs growth, the demand would shorten that "period of time" the reason years pass is due to lack of competition lol, you need that and you back against the wall for them to be forced to improve and find a new source which they would have needed anyways as one source isn't reliable(could potentially lose that in a blink of an eye and your all fucked), and no competition docent always lead to direct violence but a race to improvement and even if it goes the military sense they wouldn't fight but instead have an arms race, lack of competition is what causes violence, when to competing sides are going head to head in an arms race they never attack the other( for example Russia/US, or Iran/isreal)

Here is the thing about that, not everyone can look out for themself and that is perfectly fine. Humans are capable of compassion and without helping each other we may have never reached the heights we have. Individualism isn't bad and neither is collectivism, you just gotta find a good medium between the two. Helping each other and looking out for one other is something all people need to successfully grow/progress and advance.
