No,I'm a somali woman . I'm just outraged at the racism some somalis face in turkey and how we allowed them to build turkish schools in our lands,e.g. the one in mogadishu. We must say no to schools that have a foreign language as the official one. It makes me vomit the amount of bootyclapping we do for foreigners, especially non black ones.
Yet, here you are yourself *bootyclapping* for Armenians.....

It's funny even new gen turks are still propagating propaganda saying it never happened. Quite funny when you speak to your turkish friend over here in the UK and mention it casually and they will act like you cussed out their mama.
The genocide happened but it was unequivocally, 100% justified. Armenians were a real threat to the Turkish state.
In 1914, there were 15.0 million Muslims in the Ottoman Empire, as well as 1.7 million Greeks and 1.1 million Armenians. However, the Muslims included many Arabs; subtracting the Arab regions gives us a Turkish population of 12.7 million.
This compared to a population of 5.3 million in Greece (1910), which may have grown to 5.5 million by 1914. There were 1.2 million Armenians in the Russian Empire (1897).
So here are the approximate numbers as of 1914:
Turks: 12.7 million
Greeks: 7.2 million
Armenians: 2.8 million
Ratio: 12.7 million Turks to 10.0 million Greeks/Armenians (1:1.3)
Consequently, it’s not an exaggeration to talk of loose demographic parity between Turks and Greeks/Armenians, even without adjusting for perhaps 10% of Muslim “Turks” being Kurds. It was very possible for the Turks themselves to have been bottled up in the Anatolian heartlands and for the Greeks/Armenians to have taken back Constantinople in WW1.

you realize that Armenian irredentists want to genocide or expel every Turk in western Anatolia right? Like that doesn’t justify the genocide but it does explain why Turkey is hesitant to recognize it.

Are you aware of the genocides/deportations of Muslims from southern Ukraine-Crimean refugees, Southern Russia-Circassian genocide, Georgia-Adjarian refugees, Greece, Bulgaria? Upwards to ten million of their descendants live in Turkey now.

Yes I am aware of these terrible genocides. But the Ottoman empire literally took kids from their mums and made them fight their own people, occupied the balkans for centuries and they turned a Greek site into a mosque. The difference is that at least the balkan christians/atheists acknowledge the genocides,while turkey denies them.

Lol Russia denies the Circassian genocide, they call it Circassian muhajirism as if it was voluntary. Georgia is the only country to recognize it. No recognition for their part in the Adjarian (Erdogan is an Adjarian refugee btw) and Crimean genocides either. While Greece and Bulgaria celebrate theirs as liberation.
Ottomans were basically Byzantine Greeks+Armenians with a bit of Turkemen lol. Who cares if they made a cathedral into a mosque. Anatolia wasn't Grecophone before Alexander's conquests.
